Individuals nominated by the Northwest Territories are eligible to apply for permanent residency through Citizenship and Immigration Canada as part of the Provincial Nominee stream. The processing of a nominee’s application for permanent residence through Citizenship and Immigration Canada is generally faster than other immigration classes. Citizenship and Immigration Canada makes final decisions on the applications.
